Here is a collection of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) about the Top O' Topanga community. If you are new to the community, you should also visit the "New Resident Info" page.
|
- What do "TOT" and "HOA" stand for?
These are acronyms for "Top O' Topanga" and "Home Owners Association".
- I just moved in, what do I need to know?
For all you need to know, click on this link for New Residents Info.
- How do I get in the gate at night after 7 PM?
You will need to contact our resident manager during normal business hours to receive a gate card and also to be set up in the system to receive access via an individual gate code.
- Which utilities do I pay direct and which do I pay to the HOA via Lordon Management?
You will need to contact the local phone and cable/satellite TV companies to set up these services. Your electric, gas, water, trash collection, and HOA fees will be billed to you monthly by Lordon Management. If you do not receive your monthly statement, please notify Lordon Management at (800) 729-5673.
- Where can my guests park when they visit?
There is no street parking allowed in the community at any time. If one can't park at the home they are visiting, there are four areas where guests may park: by the manager's office, by the kids' park, on Navajo, or on the dirt areas on Supi.
- When are the HOA meetings?
The Home Owners Association meetings are typically on the 4th Monday of every month. Check the homepage schedule for exact dates.
- I have an address, why do I also have a "lot number"? And, why is it that the streets do not have an Avenue, Street, Blvd., or other common ending associated with them?
The lot number you have reflects how your space is recorded by the County of Los Angeles. It is not typically used for anything other than "official" correspondence, say, to a lender or the County. Your street address is sufficient for mail and other routine purposes.
For whatever reason, lost to the mists of time, only one "street" up here was recorded as such and that is Zuni Street. None of the others have any designation. Some folks put on their mailing labels such things as Lane or Road or Street, but they aren't technically correct except for Zuni Street.
- Who do I contact first for immediate problems with community property (i.e. Pool area, RV parking area, etc.)
Please visit our Contact Info page.
- I would like to make improvements on my house and/or property, what do I need to do first?
Visit the on site manager to get the appropriate forms and information handouts.
